The B-2 Spirit stealth bomber crashed in December 2022 due to a hydraulic system failure causing the left landing gear to collapse upon landing. The jet skidded over a mile, igniting a fire that destroyed much of the aircraft. No injuries occurred, but the damage led to the bomber’s retirement.
